Investing is a scary word. And investing can be risky. Especially if you don’t know what you are doing.
Which is why the best investments are not those that require a finance degree or a broadsheet subscription.
I’m not talking about investing in stocks, gilts, bonds, cryptocurrencies, precious metals or anything like that. And I’m not talking about investing in property (the mainstay of many an investment portfolio).
What I’m talking about is much more basic.
The simplest investment you can make (as well as being potentially the most valuable) is in yourself. In your education. If you can expand your skills then you make yourself more valuable. The upskilled you can earn more, which can get you to enough quicker.
